Vaibhav Tiwari bagged 1st prize in Film Making Competition, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune

BDes student - Vaibhav Tiwari bagged 1st prize in Film Making Competition organized by Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. Vaibhav is the director and author of the film ‘Phone to Past’. The film is about a person who can make phone calls to the future. The film revolves around two basic questions: "Is it a prank call?" and "Who is the person dialing the phone to past?" The film is completely black and white to give the look and feel of the past.

This film was a part of the assignment of course Digital Tools 2 - Communication Design led by Rajat Akre and Ambrish Polekar, the faculty of the School of Design. On the victory, he added that he got inspiration from great directors like David Fincher, Stanley Kubrick, and especially Christopher Nolan. The movie "INCEPTION" upshot him to decide to be a narrative filmmaker.

'Phone to Past' is also selected for the screening in the Ritu Rangam Film Festival and in consideration for the Filmbath: IMDB new filmmaker award.
